One of the first things I was told about Puyo is that it has more dumptrucks per capita than any other city in the world. The traditional dish of Puyo is actually called the dumptruck. “Why so many dumptrucks?” I asked. “Because”, they responded definitively, “you can’t do anything without them”. Hmm. Not the most satisfying answer, but it’ll have to do.

    Ola!
Hi there Oh. I wonder what you’ve been up to for the last two weeks. My big event is coming up Wed., then the next morning I fly to Oslo to stay with Fredrik and Anita and their 18 month old daughter Ella for one night, then off to Jaarna to teach entrepreneurship for a week. They’re expecting a baby boy Dec. 1. If he comes on his due date, I’ll lobby that he be named after you…Ohcyrus.

We had a dusting of snow yesterday, our first, and the temp has not climbed above freezing since. The lake will definitely still be open when you’re here for Thanksgiving.

Missing you lots and can’t wait to see you,
    Pops
